Supervision for Small Groups

"Supervision is essential to how practitioners sustain good practice throughout their working life. It provides ongoing opportunities to reflect deeply on all aspects of practice, ensuring work is effective, safe, and ethical."
- BACP Ethical Framework

I bring a down-to-earth style, a good sense of humour, and a collaborative approach to group supervision.

How Group Supervision Works

Groups currently meet monthly for two hours.

Together, we'll explore the cases you bring to supervision, reflecting as a team to deepen understanding and strengthen practice.

If any child protection or safeguarding concerns arise, these will take priority, even if it means pausing case discussions for that session.

We will work within the BACP's ethical framework and guidelines, with respect for confidentiality both for your clients and within the group.

Group Norms and Confidentiality

To create a supportive and respectful environment, group members agree to:
  • Prepare for supervision sessions
  • Participate actively but respectfully, avoiding interruptions or speaking over others
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all shared client information and group discussions
At the end of each session, you will have the chance to raise any concerns, suggest improvements, or share what's working well.

Additional Notes

Occasionally, if needed, you may be invited to stay for a brief one-to-one discussion after group, for example to address any concerns or check wellbeing.
